And since no holiday is complete without being bothered by walking, talking, sentient mistletoe!

One of them wanders up and tugs on Roy's pant leg, getting his attention.]

After a very long silence, Roy finally clears his throat and attempts to ignore the stupid thing, reaching over and taking Riza's hand.

[At this point, Riza didn't know if she wanted to roast the mistletoe or just take the reigns and kiss him, damn the consequences. She decided on the roasting; It was easier.

She let him take her hand, a small smile on her face as she scooted closer.] I really don't mind.

[he has to make sure. He's done a lot of stupid crap in his life, he doesn't want this to be one of them. He knows she's been holding back a lot, too, and that just makes him nervous to push his luck too far with her.]

Of course not. It's simply a kiss. [He wouldn't be pushing his luck; Logically, the attachment to the Roy before the Digital World was based on need. Logically, the emotions shouldn't have been that strong. Logically, she should still only feel friendship. Not this... whatever it was.

[Right. 'Just' a kiss. He's not sure why that actually disappoints him a little, but he's not about to back down now.

Still holding her hand, he gently brushes a few stray strands of blond away from her cheek with his other hand, finally leaning in and pressing his lips to hers.]

[As soon as he kisses her, she goes bright, bright red - and responds to it, shifting so that she's closer to him. Her Logic says one thing, her emotions tell another story. A story that yes, yes she has some rather strong feelings for Roy Mustang.]

[obviously, he doesn't mind, taking her moving closer as incentive to do the same, moving his hand to the back of her neck.

And he could have gone a little further, too, if that gods be damned mistletoe didn't open its big mouth again.]

[Sadly for Riza, the thing's landed with her D-Reader Symbol (http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t249/Chalian_Muse/Photos%20tf/cvcxcv.png?t=1293283855) face up. It might not mean much, but as it's almost always in her pocket, it could mean something.]

[Roy picks it up, looking curiously at the symbol. He recognizes it as an Array, but the details are just too small to make out anything more than the most basic of symbols. He shrugs it off, figuring whatever it is, it doesn't really matter in a world where arrays don't work anyway.

Interesting that its on her D-Comm, though...]
