[Comm clicks on to the sound of hung over groaning from Roy. He's also muttering to himself.]

That was completely pointless... all we did was get drunk, and all Maes did was chase everyone away by shoving pictures of Elicia in their faces... it's not like I actually managed to hook up with some one...

[Roy shifts and apparently rolls over on his bed.]

Mornin, sweet cheeks!

[Roy screams, there's a crash, and 'Havoc' (his partner, not Jean) cracks up laughing.]

Oh man the look on your face, chief! Priceless! Just priceless!

DAMMIT, HAVOC! GET OUT OF MY BED!

[Roy picks up the nearest object - which is of course his D-Comm - and chucks it at Havoc. The comm cuts off to fading laughing as his partner is already running away.]

Woah, hey, who said anything about 'demanding'? 'Cos I know I said 'ask'.

Look, I know you're not Investigations, Roy, so trust me when I say that there's got a be a certain amount of give and take in the department. From what I've heard a lot of shit goes down here, which means a lot of cases, and a lot of stuff backing up. You and I would know Gluttony better than anyone, and taking over the case would leave one less for Sanders to have to worry about.

This isn't a pissing contest. This is about resolving the cases as soon as possible, with the best people possible for them. I, for one, wouldn't limit myself to the Gluttony case ... but I won't deny it's the one I'm most interested in, either.

The way I hear it, there isn't much to the case right now. Gluttony's partner drove him to some remote, less populated area and nothing's really been broadcasted since.

But I get what you mean. And it does seem like they're always in need of extra hands in that department.
